About Me

Hi!  I’m Josée and welcome to Peacefield Farm Pottery.

I am a retired teacher and I’ve practiced pottery for over twenty years.  I am now devoting much of my free time to sharing my love of clay with others as well as creating new and interesting pieces.  I am not a professional but I have taken many classes in Victoria and at North Island College. I love to learn so you can say a lot of what I know is also self-taught! I enjoy experimenting with new techniques and use tricks shared by other potters. I draw on my many years as a teacher to help others discover pottery.  I always have interesting pieces on display so if you’d like to drop by just to say hi and browse,  please email me.

I have a soft spot for working on unique things. If you have a special project you’d like me to work on let me know.  Examples are memorial pet mugs; special occasion plates or cups; ‘baby’s first step’ mugs or decorative plates; group or team sets of pottery – the list goes on!  Let’s chat about your project!

I developed a number of pottery classes (private and semi-private – 2 people maximum per class) which I run at regular intervals.

I look forward to meeting you

Josée
